Completed Newbies Lease: Gypsy | WildSpiritThings

The Remuda Livery (BrowncoatWhit & Rachel-Vardys) agrees to lease out the horse described below to LESSEE (that's you, WildSpiritThings):

LEASE TERM:  this lease contract will run from September 1 through October 1 (a period of one month).  It is the LESSEE's responsibility to successfully conclude the terms of the lease by the end date, or else contact the Remuda Livery for an additional one month extension. 

LEASE PRICE:   The LESSEE is expected to produce at least 10 points of kaaring featuring the leased horse.  Art for kaaring must be original; no photo-manipulations or pre-made or recycled line-art. Likewise, please no crayon drawings or "kaaring farms", and we ask that art not be presented as poorly photographed smart-phone photos.  Each image should be a single art file. The horse should be immediately recognizable as the leased horse. We will post thumbnails with a kaaring total in the comments section of this contract, to help all parties involved keep track of how much kaaring has been earned.  The Remuda Livery expects to be able to showcase this art in the appropriate Remuda Livery deviation galleries, and we also expect to be able to enter it into RNG shows if we choose, for kaaring counted outside of this lease agreement.

WHEN KAARING IS FINISHED:  the LESSEE has earned a breeding slot with the Nordanner they have leased. As a gift, the LESSEE may claim one of breeding slots to their choice of an unrelated broodmare or stallion included in the Nordies for Newbies! program.  The following rules to this apply: the LESSEE must sign the Remuda Livery's Breeding Rules; an additional breeding picture is required (as detailed in the Remuda Livery's Breeding Rules), and we will expect to have a breeding slot with the new foal reserved for use by the Remuda Livery.

Once the LESSEE has selected their broodmare or stud horse, then the Remuda Livery will send in a Nordanner group breeding request.  When we receive the foal genos back from the Nordanner group mods, we will transfer ownership of those genos over to the LESSEE, so that the LESSEE may design and register their favorite. THE LESSEE will be responsible for designing their new foal, submitting it to the Nordanner group, and chaperoning it through the foal registration process. 

If the LESSEE wishes to make separate breeding arrangements for the breeding slot of the horse which they have leased, just note us and let's discuss it.  We want to do what we can to ensure you get the horse you want!

KAARING JOURNAL REQUIREMENT:  Once the new foal has been registered, the LESSEE agrees to create a kaaring journal for it -- and to maintain that Kaaring Journal until the LESSEE's new Nordanner has reached at least a 1-star (15 kaaring) quality blood ranking.

LEASE RESTRICTIONS:  the leased horse cannot be killed, crippled, maimed or bred by LESSEE during their temporary possession.  Likewise, LESSOR will not kill, cripple, main, sell ownership rights of, or consume all available breeding slots for the leased horse.

AU UNDERSTANDINGS:  in our headcanon, the Remuda Livery exists in the busy port city of the Eavesdown Docks, on the planet of Persephone, in the 'Verse of Firefly fame.  We don't expect other players to want to fit into our AU, so we understand that the leased horse will functionally be an AU (alternate universe) version, fitting into whatever headcanon the LESSEE desires.  We may wish to name-drop the leased horse (and possibly even LESSEE's OCs) into existing Remuda Livery storylines.  Any such crossover use will be done with full knowledge and of both parties.
